O projeto possui três frentes de execução interdependentes:

1. viagem exploratória

É a viagem de uma designer especializada à região do coração da amazônia com duração aproximada de 1 mês. Contando com o auxílio de mais uma profissional da área, irão identificar e registrar os objetos contemporâneos que tenham uma relação única com a natureza e que sejam representativos da cultura material local. Estão previstas visitas à locais estratégicos, apontados por entidades já existentes na região e por pesquisas prévias.

2. workshops locais

Haverão dois workshops gratuitos, em Manaus e Belém. Os participantes do workshop serão designers, arquitetos e criadores que irão ajudar a definir e selecionar “objetos da floresta”. Para descobrir esses objetos e estimular análises sobre eles, serão promovidos, de forma criativa, a observação do cotidiano, a compreensão dos contextos e o aprofundamento em aspectos como identidade e sustentabilidade. É muito especial o fato de esses designers viverem na Amazônia, e eles devem ter consciência disso .

3. publicação

A seleção de objetos resultará num e-book – publicação eletrônica. O e-book bilíngue será largamente distribuído, ficando disponível para download integral na internet. Sua divulgação será bastante intensa, e acontecerá principalmente via email e através da mídia.

The project has three interrelated fronts of execution:

1. exploratory journey

It is the journey of a specialist designer to the region of the heart of the Amazon, lasting approximately one month. With the help of another professional, they will identify and register contemporary objects that have a unique relationship with nature and that are representative of the local material culture. Visits to strategic locations pointed out by existing entities in the region and by previous research are planned.

2. local workshops

There will be two free workshops, in Manaus and in Belém. Workshop participants will be local designers and architects who will help defining and selecting the “objects of the forest.” To find these objects and stimulate analysis on them, the observation of everyday life and the understanding the contexts will be promoted in a creative way,  as well as reflections on aspects such as identity and sustainability. It is very special the fact that these designers live and are from the Amazon, and they have to be aware of that.

3. publication

The selection of objects result in an e-book. The bilingual e-book will be widely distributed, being available for full download on the internet. Its propagation will be very broad, occurring mainly via email and through the media.
