O projeto possuiu três frentes de execução interdependentes:

1. viagem exploratória

Foi a viagem de uma designer especializada à região do coração da Amazônia com duração aproximada de 1 mês. Contando com o auxílio de mais uma profissional da área, identificaram e registraram objetos contemporâneos que têm uma relação única com a natureza e que são representativos da cultura material local. Foram visitados locais estratégicos, apontados por entidades já existentes na região e por pesquisas prévias.

* O desenvolvimento do projeto, em todos os detalhes, pôde ser acompanhado através do diário online.

2. workshops locais

Houveram dois workshops gratuitos, em Manaus e Belém. Os participantes do workshop foram designers, arquitetos e criadores que ajudaram a definir e selecionar os “objetos da floresta”. Para descobrir esses objetos e estimular análises sobre eles, foram promovidos, de forma criativa, a observação do cotidiano, a compreensão dos contextos e o aprofundamento em aspectos como identidade e sustentabilidade. É muito especial o fato de esses designers viverem na Amazônia, e eles devem ter consciência disso .

3. publicação

A seleção de objetos resultou num e-book – publicação eletrônica. Ele contêm imagens e textos, documentando os achados e o processo de todo o projeto, inclusive os workshops. O e-book foi escolhido para ser o produto final deste projeto por ser de fácil acesso, portátil, barato sem perda de qualidade e inclusivo, já que pode ser convertido em som.

O e-book bilíngue foi largamente distribuído, ficando disponível para download integral na internet.

The project had three interrelated fronts of execution:

1. exploratory journey

It was the journey of a specialist designer to the region of the heart of the Amazon, lasting approximately one month. With the help of another professional, they identified and registered contemporary objects that have a unique relationship with nature and that are representative of the local material culture. Visits to strategic locations pointed out by existing entities in the region and by previous research were made.

2. local workshops

There were two free workshops, in Manaus and in Belém. Workshop participants were local designers and architects who helped defining and selecting the “objects of the forest.” To find these objects and stimulate analysis on them, the observation of everyday life and the understanding the contexts was promoted in a creative way,  as well as reflections on aspects such as identity and sustainability. It is very special the fact that these designers live and are from the Amazon, and they have to be aware of that.

3. publication

The selection of objects resulted in an e-book. It contains images and text, documenting the findings and the process of the entire project, including the workshops. The e-book was chosen to be the final product of this project for being easy to access, portable, inexpensive without loss of quality and inclusive, since it can be converted to sound.

The bilingual e-book was widely distributed, being available for full download on the internet.
