Como podemos ter uma relação mais harmoniosa com a natureza?

Quais são as referências para fazer essa necessária transformação?

Afinal, o que é sustentabilidade? 

Nosso mundo extra-saturado de objetos, imagens e símbolos, uma realidade comum principalmente nos grandes centros urbanos, é fruto de uma inconsequente ultra-industrialização, na qual designers e criadores têm papel determinante.

A ideia das oficinas Objetos da Floresta é discutir sustentabilidade no âmbito local e capacitar designers, artistas e demais interessados a verem possibilidades criativas na natureza – grande patrimônio brasileiro, estimulando a aproximação dela com uma nova mentalidade, entendendo os objetos por um viés conceitual.

São promovidos três dias de experimentação e reflexão, tratando de assuntos como design conceitual, sustentabilidade e identidade, dentre muitos outros. Além de pôr a mão na massa, os participantes são incentivados a manter-se conectados e continuar a discussão, formando uma verdadeira rede.

Além de ampliar um debate fundamental nos dias de hoje, as oficinas colaborativas valorizam não só a cultura e a natureza locais, mas também o profissional local. Pessoas criativas e pró-ativas devem ter consciência de sua importância, sendo encorajadas a inovar e assumir um papel transformador.

O público-alvo são designers e arquitetos, e o evento é gratuito e aberto a qualquer pessoa que queira entender melhor o assunto. O workshop é ministrado pela designer Andrea Bandoni.

Capacidade máxima das oficinas: 25 participantes

Pré-requisitos:  interesse em inovação e design sustentável,  possibilidade de trazer objetos pessoais/ de casa para o workshop, vontade de sair da sala e participar ativamente de visitas à campo, engajamento para pensar em questões, propor soluções e ir fundo para executá-las em curto período de tempo.

* Em 2013 o workshop “Objetos da Floresta” foi considerado uma  atividades base para o ensino de arte e design nos dias de hoje, incluído no livro “72 Assignments – The Foundation Course in Art and Design Today”, uma edição do Paris College of Art (PCA) em parceria com a TATE Research (Londres).

After all, what is sustainability?

Our world saturated with objects, images and symbols, a reality especially in large urban centers, is the result of a reckless ultra-industrialization, in which designers and creators have a massive role.

The idea behind the Objects of the Forest workshops is to discuss sustainability at local level and enable designers, artists and other interested people to see creative possibilities in nature, encouraging its approach with a new mindset, understanding objects from a conceptual bias.

Three days of experimentation and reflection are promoted. Subjects as conceptual design, sustainability and identity, among many others, are dealt with. Besides getting their hands dirty, the participants are encouraged to stay connected and continue the discussion, creating a network.

In addition to enlarging a fundamental debate, the collaborative workshops value not only the local culture and nature, but also the local professionals. Creative and pro-active people should be conscious of their importance, being pushed to innovate and assume a transforming role.

The target audience are designers and architects. The event is free and open to any person willing to understand these subjects better. The workshops are instructed by designer Andrea Bandoni.

Maximum capacity of the workshops: 25 participants

Prerequisites: interest in innovation and sustainable design, possibility to bring personal belongings to the workshop, wish to get outside the classroom and participate actively in visits, commitment to think about questions, propose solutions and go deep to execute them in a short period of time.
