A presença da natureza no Brasil é incontestável, e essa presença é indiscutivelmente mais intensa na Amazônia. Sabe-se que a diversidade de formas e espécies que existe ali não é encontrada em nenhuma outra parte do planeta. Seu isolamento geográfico também assegura uma cultura própria e pouco conhecida em muitos aspectos.

A ideia de buscar referências de design na natureza faz com que qualquer designer sinta a necessidade de saber mais sobre a Amazônia sob pontos de vista específicos: que tipos de objetos realmente existem e são úteis por lá? Como é a relação homem-natureza num local onde ela se faz tão dominante? Como conviver com essa natureza e/ou utilizar elementos naturais na vida cotidiana?

A riqueza da Floresta Amazônica nunca antes havia sido explorada exclusivamente sob o ponto de vista do design. Este projeto pretende ser o início de uma grande e transformadora imersão no tema.

The presence of nature in Brazil is undeniable, and this presence is arguably more intense in the Amazon. It is known that the diversity of forms and species that exist there is not found anywhere else on the planet. Its geographical isolation also ensures its own local culture, which is not known in many aspects.

The idea of getting design references in nature makes any designer feel the need to learn more about the Amazon under a specific poit of view: which kind of object really exist and is usefull there? How is the relationship between man and nature in a place where the last is so dominant? How can one live together with this nature and / or use natural elements in daily life?

The richness of the Amazon Forest was never before explored solely under the design point of view. This project intends to be the start of a wide and transforming plunge on the subject.
