O e-book do projeto “Objetos da Floresta” conterá imagens e textos, documentando os achados e o processo de todo o projeto. Os workshops também serão relatados no e-book, sendo publicados os nomes e contato dos participantes. A publicação será bilíngue português-inglês, e, para maior democratização, será configurado um formato que possibilite a impressão básica tamanho A4.

O e-book foi escolhido para ser o produto final deste projeto por diversos fatores, a saber:

– Democrático: é um dispositivo de armazenamento de baixo custo e de fácil acesso devido à internet. E-books podem ser vendidos ou disponibilizados online para download gratuito – caso deste projeto.

– Portátil: E-books são facilmente transportados em cd ou pen-drives e, como estão em formato digital, podem ser transmitidos rapidamente pela internet, por exemplo via e-mail, dropbox, etc.

– Barato, sem perda de qualidade: Pelo fato de seu custo de produção e de entrega serem inferiores, um livro digital de alto padrão pode chegar gratuitamente ao alcance do leitor.

– Inclusivo: Já existem softwares capazes de ler os livros em voz alta e ainda converter a leitura em uma mídia sonora, criando audiobooks. Os e-books também podem ser impressos.

The e-book “Objects of the Forest” will contain images and text, documenting the findings and the process of the entire project. The workshops will also be reported in the e-book, with the names and contact of the participants.The publication will be bilingual Portuguese-English, and, for greater democracy, it will have a format that allows basic printing in A4 size.

The e-book was chosen to be the final product of this project for several factors, namely:

– Democratic: it is inexpensive and easy to access device due to the internet. E-books can be sold or made available online for free download – case of this project.

– Portable: E-books are easily transported on CD or pen-drives, and, since they are in digital format, they can quickly be transmitted over the Internet, for example via e-mail,dropbox, etc..

– Inexpensive, without loss of quality: As its production and delivery costs are lower, a high-end digital book can get to the reach of the reader for free.

– Inclusive: There exist softwares that can read books aloud and even create audiobooks, converting the reading on a sound media. The e-books can also be printed.
